Charleston Euchre Club is a casual, community-driven group. There is no host, no RSVP, and no partner required—just show up and play.

Weekly Meetups (Self-Run)

How to join:
  • Heading out? Post in the Facebook group
  • First there? Start a table
  • See others going? Join in
If no game is happening when you arrive, grab a table and start one—others will usually join.

Organize Your Own Game or Event

Anyone can organize a game, meetup, or tournament.
  • Pick a location
  • Choose a time
  • Post it in the Facebook group to notify players

Tournaments (Hosted)

Tournaments are hosted by Indigo Reef Brewing Co. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
  • Structured format with rotating partners
  • Free entry
  • Prize awarded to the winner

Here’s a quick glossary of commonly used Euchre terms you’ll hear around the Charleston Euchre Club. Bower The two Jacks of the trump color. The  Right Bower  (Jack of trump suit) is the highest card in the game, followed by the  Left Bower  (Jack of the same-color suit). If you’ve ever heard someone shout “Stick the Dealer!” and seen the table erupt in laughter, tension, or mock sympathy — you’re not alone. It’s one of the most exciting (and pressure-filled) rules in Euchre. But what does it actually mean? Let’s break it down so you never get caught off guard. What Does “Stick the Dealer” Mean? In Euchre, after the top card from the kitty is turned up, players get one chance to tell the dealer to pick it up — which would make that suit trump. If everyone passes, a second round begins where players can name a different suit as trump. But here’s the twist: if everyone passes  again  — the dealer  must  choose a trump suit.
