Free Weekly Euchre Comes to Summerville, SC

If you’ve been searching for Euchre in Summerville, the wait is finally over. The Charleston Euchre Club is expanding with a brand-new in-person meetup location in Summerville, bringing free, welcoming Euchre nights to the growing Lowcountry community.

This new meetup is designed for players of all experience levels—from lifelong Midwestern Euchre veterans to beginners just learning the game. No partner, no RSVP, and no prior experience are required. Just show up, grab a drink, and join a table.

New Summerville Euchre Meetup Location

Our first Summerville meetup will take place at The Pickle Bar, a popular local venue known for its food, drinks, and community-focused atmosphere.

  • Day: Tuesday
  • Time: 6:30–8:30 PM
  • Cost: Free to attend
This meetup follows the same proven format as our established Charleston-area locations—casual, social, and easy to join. Players rotate tables naturally, newcomers are always welcomed, and the focus stays on fun and friendly play.

Why We’re Bringing Euchre to Summerville

Over the past year, we’ve heard from many members who live in Summerville and nearby areas and found it difficult to travel regularly to Charleston or West Ashley during the workweek. With this new location, we’re making Euchre more accessible while keeping the same relaxed, community-driven experience that has helped the club grow to over 700 members across the region.

If the first few weeks go well, this Summerville meetup will continue on a weekly basis.

What to Expect at a Charleston Euchre Club Meetup

  • Players typically 30s–60s, but all adults welcome
  • Games last about two hours, with people coming and going as needed
Many players like to arrive early to enjoy food or drinks before cards start, and others stay afterward to socialize.

The addition of Summerville does not replace our existing schedule. The Charleston Euchre Club will continue hosting:

  • Free Thursday Euchre Night – Edisto River Brewing Co. (Johns Island / West Ashley)
  • Free Club Tournaments – 2nd & 4th Sundays at Indigo Reef Brewing Co.
This expansion simply gives more players a convenient option closer to home.

Here’s a quick glossary of commonly used Euchre terms you’ll hear around the Charleston Euchre Club. Bower The two Jacks of the trump color. The  Right Bower  (Jack of trump suit) is the highest card in the game, followed by the  Left Bower  (Jack of the same-color suit). Trump The suit declared at the start of a hand that beats all others. Up-Card The card flipped face-up from the kitty after dealing. It’s used to help decide the trump suit. Kitty The four leftover cards after everyone is dealt five. The top card becomes the up-card; the rest stay face down. Trick A single round of play where each player puts down one card.
