How It Works

Charleston Euchre Club is a casual, community-driven Euchre group for players across the Charleston area. There is no host, no RSVP system, and no partner required — just show up, connect, and play.

The club serves as the central hub for local Euchre players. Weekly meetups, pop-up games, special events, and community tournaments grow through member participation in the Facebook group.

How to Join a Game

Weekly meetups take place at established locations across the Charleston area.

  • No host
  • No RSVP
  • No partner needed
  • Free to play
  • All skill levels welcome

Best way to join:

Step 1: Check the Events page for locations and times
Step 2: Check the Facebook group to see who’s going or post that you’re heading out
Step 3: Show up and look for other Euchre players
Step 4: Join a table if a game is already started
Step 5: If you’re one of the first to arrive, start a table — others will join as they arrive

Consistency is what builds strong games. If a few players commit to showing up, the meetup grows.

How to Start Your Own Meetup

Anyone can organize a regular Euchre meetup.

Step 1: Pick a location
Choose a brewery, bar, restaurant, or public space with tables and a relaxed environment

Step 2: Choose a day and time
Consistency is key — weekly or bi-weekly meetups grow the fastest

Step 3: Make sure the venue is okay with it
Most places are happy to have a group, especially on slower nights

Step 4: Post it in the Facebook group
Include location, time, day, and any notes (casual, competitive, beginner-friendly, etc.)

Step 5: Show up and start the first table
Even one table is enough to begin — growth comes from consistency

Step 6: Keep posting weekly
Reminder posts help build awareness and attendance over time

How to Start a Community Tournament

Charleston Euchre Club does not host official tournaments, but members are encouraged to organize their own.

Step 1: Choose a venue with enough space
Step 2: Choose a format (rotating partners, fixed partners, round robin, etc.)
Step 3: Decide on entry (free or buy-in) and prizes if any
Step 4: Post full details in the Facebook group
Step 5: Bring basic supplies (cards, score sheets, etc.)
Step 6: Run the event clearly and start on time

Keep it simple — well-run small tournaments grow into larger ones.

Pop-Up Games & Special Events

Members can also organize one-time games, beginner nights, private meetups, or new-location trial runs.

Just pick a time and place, post it in the Facebook group, and invite others.
