How It Works

Charleston Euchre Club is a casual, community-driven Euchre group for players across the Charleston area. There is no RSVP system and no partner required — just show up, connect, and play.

The club serves as the central hub for local Euchre players. Weekly meetups, pop-up games, special events, and community-organized tournaments grow through member participation in the Facebook group.

How to Join a Game

Weekly meetups take place at established locations across the Charleston area.

  • No RSVP
  • No partner needed
  • Free to play
  • All skill levels welcome

Best way to join:

  • Step 1: Check the Events page for current meetup locations and times
  • Step 2: Check the Facebook group for meetup updates or post that you're heading out
  • Step 3: Show up and look for other Euchre players
  • Step 4: Join a table if a game is already started
  • Step 5: If you’re one of the first to arrive, start a table — others will join as they arrive

Consistency is what builds strong games. If a few players commit to showing up regularly, a meetup can grow into a thriving community.

How to Start Your Own Meetup

Anyone can organize a regular Euchre meetup.

Step 1: Pick a location

Choose a brewery, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, community center, or other public space with tables and a relaxed environment.

Step 2: Choose a day and time

Consistency is key. Weekly or bi-weekly meetups tend to grow the fastest.

Step 3: Make sure the venue is okay with it

Most venues are happy to host a card-playing group, especially on slower nights.

Step 4: Post it in the Facebook group

Include the location, day, time, and any details such as beginner-friendly, casual, or competitive.

Step 5: Show up and start the first table

Even one table is enough to begin. Growth comes from consistency.

Step 6: Keep posting regularly

Reminder posts help build awareness and attendance over time.

How to Start a Community Tournament

Charleston Euchre Club does not currently host official tournaments, but members are welcome to organize and run their own events.

Step 1: Choose a venue with adequate space

Step 2: Choose a format (rotating partners, fixed partners, round robin, etc.)

Step 3: Decide whether the event is free or includes an optional buy-in and prizes

Step 4: Post full details in the Facebook group

Step 5: Bring any needed supplies such as cards and score sheets

Step 6: Run the event clearly and start on time

Keep it simple. Well-run small tournaments often grow naturally over time.

Pop-Up Games & Special Events

Members are encouraged to organize one-time games, beginner nights, private meetups, and new-location trial runs.

Simply choose a time and place, post it in the Facebook group, and invite others to join.

Locations & Schedule

Current meetup locations and times are listed on the Events page.

Additional games, new locations, and special events are often posted directly in the Facebook group.
